Historical Background: Alanno is situated on a hill of the Pescara Valley and many traces of the past are still to be seen in its architectonic structure. The agricultural vocation of the village is the result of a flourishing rural economy and explains the presence of the Technical Agrarian Institute- Secondary school.Founded in the 5th century was for a long time under the rule of the near Abbey of S. Clemente a Casauria and then feud of Leognani-Fieramosca. Quite entirely destroyed in 1915 because of a terrible earthquake, it still preserves today some furniture of the 19thcentury and a saint sculpture-base of the Renaissance.
