Historical Background: The commune of Bomba is an important tourist resort, both for its interesting artistic monuments and natural beauties. The village is well-known in particular for the presence of the Lake of the Sangro river, which today is just called Lago di Bomba. The excursions in the surroundings woods are a must as well as the Pallano mount, where there are ruins of the cyclopean mansory which bear witness to the presence of the pre-Roman settlement. It was also the birthplace of the local intellectuals Silvio and Bertrando Spaventa.
