Historical Background: This commune bases its economy on agriculture and in particular olive groves and vineyards. Of very ancient origins, as the many pre-Romans tombs bear witness, it was completely destroyed by a landslide more the a century ago. The first references to the present village date back to the 12th century. In 1881 was partially destroyed by a landslide.
