Historical Background: Situated next to the Venna river, Giuliano Teatino is famous for its tradition in grape and cherish growing. The origins of this centre date back to the Middle Ages, it was mentioned as Juliano in 1059 and successively in the Catalogus Baronum in 1150 with the name of Jolianum. Its territory was included in the possessions of the monastery of St. Pietro in Campis. It is surrounded by the lush vegetation of the countryside, with a panoramic view over the Majella as well as the Adriatic sea.
