Historical Background: An agricultural centre on a hill overlooking the Fino valley. For a long time this commune was part of the jurisdiction of the abbey of St. Maria of Picciano. The first certain documents date back to the 11th century. It preserves some examples of the 19th century buildings. On the portal of the parish church of the first years of the 19th century by a project of Agnello Francia, there are two column-bearing lions of the ancient destroyed abbey of Picciano. In a private countryside villa the Museum of farm arts and tradition has been established.
