Historical Background: A delightful village of the Fino valley particularly involved in the growing-cultivation of grapes and in the production of wines. The origins of the Bisenti are very ancient (even Plinius talked about Beretre) and it has always been an important defensive place as it is testified by the medieval castle. In the 16th century Bisenti was included in the so called Stati Farnesiani. This typical village is situated at an altitude of 275 m above sea level and it has a population of about 2500 inhabitants. Among the most important events is the feast of the Emigrant in July and in August the feast of Madonna degli Angeli. Of the ancient settlement are the ruins of the Iron age.During the Italic period the toponym turned from Vesentia in Visentum, when the site belonged to the municipality of Pinna. In the Middle Ages the first documents mentioned this village.
