Historical Background: Mosciano S. Angelo is a small town next to Giulianova, in the Vomano valley, on a hill next to the sea. In the last years this centre saw a great industrial development, and today this commune boasts a big industrial area. The manufacturing field are several, but particularly well-known are the furniture manufacturing. Its commercial and industrial vocation was already known in the Middle Ages, when the first references to the village appeared. Under the rule of the Acquaviva, Mosciano saw a period of great richness. Towards the 10th century, the village was completely surrounded by defensive walls still visible.
