Its ancient origin goes back to the early Middle Ages, and it is one of the most ancient settlement of Abruzzo’s hinterland. In the National Park of Gran Sasso and Laga mountains, in the centre of Siciliana valley, the street that conduct to St. Gabriel’ sanctuary is nowadays attended by pilgrims; in this place there are naturalistic, religious, historic and artistic paths, and also an horse centre that includes tennis and pic-nic areas. The historical centre of the village, created by the renovation of the d building of the Middle Ages, is characterized by the buildings of 18th century.
